Reward Plan

When I get to my final goal of 160, I'm getting my belly button pierced. I might not keep it long, but I'm going to do it.

When I have maintained 160 for a year, I'm going to get a tattoo somewhere on my hip.

I also plan to buy a two piece bathing suit, but only when I'm ready. And I don't mean a tankini thing. We'll see on that one.

When I get under 200lbs, I'm throwing a party of some sort. :)

  1. I think this is good! I read that right now you're at 212, so just think, only 13 more pounds and you get to throw a party!

This makes losing weight seem less daunting. When I was trying to lose 20 pounds, it seemed like SO MUCH. It seemed impossible, so sometimes I'd let myself "be bad" because I didn't really think I could do it. But when I started to break it into chunks of five, it became way easier. I wouldn't let myself break my rules because I just wanted to see a smaller number on the scale.

Tell yourself you just really want to be under 208. I think you'll be surprised with how much more you can motivate yourself. Wanting to see 207 is a lot more motivating then saying you want to see 160. once you hit 207, say you want to see yourself just barely over 200. Then under it!! I think this can help you get a good start.

Also remember that main weight loss comes from calorie intake. You have to burn more than you're taking in. And that strength training may keep your weight the same, but you're still going to look different. 220 with no muscle mass and 212 with some toning is really more than a weight loss of 8 pounds! Because muscle weighs 3 times more than fat.

You can do it! Also, have you thought about trying the HCG drops? My roommates are about to start that, and my manager did it too, it seems to work pretty well for people I've talked to...I just didn't want to try it because it can make you extra fertile so be careful!!!

  2. I know about the HCG diet but as it doesn't allow you to eat a normal diet or get real exercise while you're on it, I won't do it. I'm not looking for a jump start but an actual life style change.

I'm looking forward to some sort of party haha and it will most likely be in San Fran with my amigos there. Super excited.

It's silly but once the scale is actually under 210, I'm going to re-dye my hair. It's both necessary and wanted and is a VERY good accountability tool because I miss my vibrant red hair haha.
